This is a glimpse of what they did on August 9, 2009:

August 9th just happens to be the last day my long lost waterproof camera was used. And these just happen to be the last 5 pictures taken on that lost camera. The one I searched high and low for and cried about losing. Now I know exactly WHO lost my camera and what they were doing with it before it was shoved far under the basement couch 3 months ago.Yes, I realize that means I have not cleaned under my basement couch for 3 months. Maybe it's time for that....
And where in the world was I when AJ was drinking a BOTTLE in my bed?! KitKat MUST have been babysitting. I keep 2 bottles in the cupboard. For emergencies. When I'm babysitting. The kids apparently think they're toys.
This is one of those times where I don't know whether to be happy or mad. Happy that my pocket camera is back in my possession....Or mad that my kids put me through 3 months of mourning and frustration. I had finally consigned myself to the fact that the camera had been accidentally thrown away. Darn kids.

This is funny! I'm glad that you have your camera back though!
ReplyDeleteThat is great!!! i've had a few of those mystery pictures show up once in awhile...lots of laughs!
ReplyDeleteWait a minute - we're supposed to clean under our couches? :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found your camera and I'm also glad there was incriminating evidence, that way you know for sure that you didn't lose it! ;D
They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteStopping from 7 clowns.
lol, at least you have the camera back...with pretty cute evidence too!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got it back!
ReplyDeleteHow funny, always choose happy!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious! And I thought since it's in the basement you don't have to clean under it...am I wrong? =)
ReplyDeleteThat is sooooo funny!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely hilarious. What did they say?
ReplyDeleteThat was kinda my line of thinking....I send the kids down to clean up
ReplyDeletetheir toys. Shouldn't that be enough? ;)
Reese saw me looking at the pictures on my computer, and said, "I took
ReplyDeletethose!" very happily. So I said, "Oh, so at least I know exactly who
lost my camera!" and she responded, "Nooooo." Haha!
Glad you found your camera.. now u know who was the culprit.
ReplyDeleteYay! As soon as you started posting these pictures I knew you had found your camera. Now you can take all those under water pictures next summer. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can only imagine how excited I was when I reached under the couch
ReplyDeleteand pulled out that camera last night. I was so sad about losing it! I
mean, what would I do without it all summer long?!
You should be proud of their clever, conniving innovation at such an early age. It will serve them well.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from SITS!
Who cleans under their couch? Not me! =)
ReplyDeleteLove the pix.
Just stopping by from SITS.
Fellow Mom of 5.
I'm glad I'm not the only one (who doesn't clean under the couch very
ReplyDeleteoften....)! Thanks for stopping by! I will return the visit later
today when I'm back home! I'm always interested in fellow moms of 5.
We have to band together, you know. :)
Too bad you couldn't have the evidence without finding the camera. They probably still would have had no idea where it was, but you would have had clues. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThe whole time I was looking at your cute kids, I was wondering what they'd done that was so bad. Ah, they hid your camera. BUSTED. Are they in trouble now?
ReplyDeleteJustine :o )
too funny!! sneaky kids!! very gorgeous too!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty humorous. Those silly, silly kids. Didn't they remember using your camera when you were in mourning and searching all over for it?
ReplyDeletehahaha! Hilarious pics. So glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteTry a little of both. I always like to laugh and cry at the same time. It scares the children and it makes me feel better. Glad you found it!
ReplyDeleteThis could SO happen in my house! Glad you have your camera back!
ReplyDeleteI think I would be happy...I love my camera! Beside they gave you something great to post about...and gave your readers a reason to smile at your plight, lol!
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny...should be on a detective show.
ReplyDeleteNope. They had no idea where my camera could have gone. Silly kids is
ReplyDeleteright!
Is this bad? When I pulled the camera out from under the couch my
ReplyDeletefirst thought was, "Yay! My camera!" My second thought was "Great!
Something perfect to post about tonight!"
Busted!!
ReplyDeleteOh look at all that evidence you have. They are so busted!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I have been there! I once waited to get the camel out of the garden so I could run and get my camera and take some pics first for evidence. I'm sure he got a least a bushel of tomatoes before I got back!
ReplyDeleteGotta love those long lost camera moments- we have had some of those over the years as well LOL
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see those pictures! A lost camera is one thing, but a naughty
ReplyDeletecamel...a totally different one!
I am glad it turned up! Those are some cute little suspects you have there!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, so funny! lol You should thank them for giving you something fun to blog about... ;-)
ReplyDeleteYep. They're cute. But they sure can be trouble makers!
ReplyDeleteIt's so true! I WAS grateful for the great blog content. It was perfect, too, since I wasn't sure what I was going to write about last night until I pulled that camera out from under the couch!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it hilarious to have those moments of laughing and crying....and then look at the kids shocked faces?! Priceless!
ReplyDeleteNormally, I would have deleted pictures like that, but those pics now have so much meaning...I have to keep them! :)
ReplyDeleteThat IS a funny idea! I'm not sure if those pictures would have led me to the right place. The last two pictures WERE taken in the basement. I guess that's a good clue!
ReplyDeleteNo, they're not in trouble. But you can bet they won't be playing with my camera for a long time!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing looking at the world through your children's eyes?
ReplyDeleteOh...I forgot to mention that I'm stopping by from SITS.
ReplyDeleteOk, must admit I'm glad to hear that you do not usually offer that big-old-boy a bottle!! This is really funny!! Glad you found your camera, I love my waterproof camera. It was great this past summer.
ReplyDeleteI like to offer great rewards for the person who can find the missing remote, the other shoe, or the BABY! LOL
Yes, I felt like I had to write a disclaimer about the bottle picture.
ReplyDeleteYikes! He hasn't used a bottle in years! He must have been playing
"baby" with his big sister, the camera-woman.
Everyone who has had a waterproof camera swears by them for summer
use. I don't know what I'd do without mine at the pool!
Wait...is your baby missing? Do you need some help with that? ;)
I am sorry Lolli..BUT that is so funny! it's one of those things you will look back on an d really get a kick out of..Sneaky little guyus..hahah
ReplyDeleteIt really is funny. I mean, it's so much better than finding the
ReplyDeletecamera in a bag that I haven't used for months or hidden between the
cushions of the couch, unused. This camera held a STORY. :)
LOL - I actually like that one of your daughter though - worth finding the camera for :D!!
