Wishies

Yesterday, in the middle of talking "mold remediation" with the 2nd company to visit our house and the neighbor's in the course of a few hours, I heard a man call out....."FED EX!" I ran upstairs. I was expecting a package.

Inside that package was something very high up on my wish-list. A Canon L-series (ie--professional) 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. (please excuse the photo jargon) Unfortunately, the $1200+ price tag has prevented me from getting one myself. But because my wide angle lens is broken, and because I am shooting a wedding tomorrow morning, I knew I had to have a lens I could trust for the wedding. So....I rented. I get to spend a week with this baby. I am loving her. I took her and my kids to the park yesterday, and we happened to see a few of these:

AJ calls them "Wishies."

I wish I could blow a Wishie right now and keep this lens.

Alas, it's not in the budget.

But I'll be enjoying her for sure for the next 7 days.....
